Grayt Holiday Market

Grayton Beer Company will host its third annual Grayt Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1. In addition to vendors, the event will include festive craft beers as well as the local brewery’s year-round styles, an appearance by Santa and food for purchase by Grayton Beer Brewpub. The market will be held in tandem with the Taproom’s regularly scheduled Dog Days Are (R)over where patrons who bring in their dog receive 10 percent off their tab.

12 Nights of Light

A free festive light show every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday leading up to Christmas has shows at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. in the Events Plaza at The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Coastal White Christmas

Visit Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach during the holiday season to enjoy decor and programming from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Jan. 1. The Town Center will be awash with thousands of beautiful white lights, bringing a festive and inviting spirit to Grand Boulevard. Weekends through Dec. 15 feature Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides, faux snow and caroling in Grand Park on Friday and Saturday evenings and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday afternoons.

Poinsettia Time

Santa on the Dock at The Bay

Bring your family and friends to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him your Christmas wishes at the second annual Santa on the Dock of The Bay from 5:30-8 p.m. Dec. 4 at the restaurant at the southern foot of the 331 bridge in Santa Rosa Beach. Get a free photo with Santa with the Choctawhatchee Bay as your backdrop and many more surprises.

Wednesday Night Concert Series - Holiday Edition

Get in the holiday spirit and listen to holiday classics with the Valhalla Choir at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Events Plaza at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Each concert will feature a choreographed light show and visits with Santa.

Holiday Toast on the Coast

The Northwest Florida Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will host its annual holiday reception and fundraiser, Holiday Toast on the Coast, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Luna Ballroom, 4495 Furling Lane, Suite 220 in Destin. Tickets are $25/members and $30/non-members and are on sale at nwfcoastfpra.org. Tickets increase $5 on the day of the event. The event is open to the public. Guests will enjoy beverages, bites from a variety of the Emerald Coast’s most popular restaurants, and a silent auction. The dancers at Luna Ballroom will perform and have interactive swing-style dance lessons for attendees. Please bring coats, sizes children to adults, and stocking stuffers (necessities and Christmas items for children) to help Heartbeat of Backroads give to those in Panama City.

Charity Christmas Ball

Café Thirty-A in Seagrove presents its annual Charity Christmas Ball from 7-11 p.m. Dec. 7.  Dress is evening attire with black tie optional. In addition to a buffet and passed heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and music by Rock the House, guests can commemorate the evening with Epic Photo Co.’s photo booth. Proceeds from a large silent auction and raffle will benefit the Caring and Sharing of South Walton’s efforts to provide food and financial assistance to area families and individuals in need. A Peter White Christmas

It will be a White Christmas on the Emerald Coast with Peter White, Rick Braun and Edge Groove at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College. Tickets are $80/front section and $40/general admission. Order tickets at 729-6000 or seabreeze.fm.

Tuba Christmas

A unique holiday event at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin is holiday classics played during the Tuba Christmas program from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Events Plaza. Then visit with Santa.

Tee Off For Toys

People are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys or gift cards with a value of $15 or more and in exchange they can play Sandestin’s golf courses for just the green and golf car fee, $20, on Dec. 8 and 9. Sandestin will offer golf at all three of its public courses, Raven Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club and The Links Golf Club. All toys and donations will be given to Harvest House’s “Hope for Holidays” and Children in Crisis programs, both benefiting children and families in need this holiday season. Tee times are available all day and can be made at 267-8155.

Holiday Pops

Chris Mann of “The Voice” joins Sinfonia’s full orchestra for an evening of the most cherished and festive holiday medleys from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at Village Baptist Church, 101 Matthew Blvd. in Destin. Tickets range from $29.50-$55/person and can be purchased at sinfoniagulfcoast.org.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

The Town Center at Grand Boulevard will be awash with thousands of white lights, bringing a festive and inviting spirit to the boulevard. Enjoy a free, horse-drawn carriage ride from 5-8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 15 around the Town Center while faux snow falls on the Festival of Trees display in Grand Park. To add to the festivities, Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s Dickensian Carolers will sing popular holiday carols on these evenings between 5 and 7 p.m.

Photos with Santa Claus

Have your child's picture taken with Santa from 2-4 p.m. every Saturday through Dec. 15 in Grand Park at the Festival of Trees display in Grand Boulevard. Abrakadoodle Art Education and Parties will offer free, kid-friendly, holiday arts and crafts while you wait.

Festival of Trees

Held annually in Grand Park at Grand Boulevard, the Festival of Trees showcases uniquely decorated Christmas trees from 12 local non-profits. The trees remain in the park through Christmas for the public to enjoy and learn more about the missions of these organizations. This year’s organizations are Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Emerald Coast Hospice, Emerald Coast Theatre Company, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles, H.E.A.R.T. Animal Rescue Inc., Shelter House, The Arc of the Emerald Coast, Children in Crisis Inc., The Arc of Walton County and The Sonder Project.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf's Event Plaza is turning into a Winter Wonderland full of real snow from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 22. Slide down the ice slide, make snow angels, and enjoy a day of frosty fun for the whole family.

As part of the Art in Public Places, 18 local artists will be featured at the Coastal Branch Library during December. Original art will be on sale for $100 or less.
