Dr. Christine Smiley announced recently that Doc Smiley’s Urgent Care is now open in Seagrove Beach. Formerly an emergency room physician, Dr. Smiley saw the need for a true urgent care clinic in the area to serve full-time residents and seasonal visitors alike.

“Nine months ago I looked around and discovered that there were no urgent care centers within a half-hour drive of Santa Rosa Beach,” said Dr. Smiley. “I realized that an urgent care center with no appointment needed would greatly increase access to healthcare in Santa Rosa Beach.”

The clinic is at 43 Cassine Way, Suite #102 on 30A in Seagrove Beach and serves Santa Rosa Beach, Seaside, Seagrove, WaterColor, Destin, Panama City Beach, Freeport, Sandestin, and Miramar Beach.

Dr. Smiley’s husband J.T is also an emergency room doctor and will be practicing at the clinic from time to time.

“We’re so excited to raise our family in this beautiful community,” said Dr. Smiley who has a vivacious 6 year-old daughter. “J.T and I are dedicating ourselves to the health and welfare of our neighbors and visitors to our area.”

The clinic is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Doc Smiley’s Urgent Care provides all the urgent care services you would expect including illness and injury care, minor trauma and wound care, allergies and pediatrics, IV hydration and medication, fracture care and dislocations, travel consultation, anti-malaria prescriptions, X rays, lab/EKG, flu shots, sports physicals, workers’ compensation services, TB tests and more.
