The Sugar Sands Charity Golf Classic will be held Oct. 1 at the Raven Golf Club in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Check-in for the day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. The tournament is to raise vital funds to continue to provide homes for the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community.

Participants will enjoy lunch prior to play, refreshments from drink and food stops on the course and a family style dinner with the entertainment of David Seering at Tuscany Italian Bistro. There will also be a luxury car hole-in-one prize, door prizes, Tommy Bahama shirt for each golfer and much more. Call CIC at 864-4242 to enter a team or for more information.

According to Ken Hair, CIC President and CEO, “We opened the Children’s Neighborhood in 2008 and since then we’ve provided a home, love and care to over 300 children and kept all of our brother and sibling group families together.  That works out to over 27,000 days and nights of care for at-risk foster children.  We must find the funds to continue to keep the neighborhood open and sustain operations.  Our annual golf tournament helps with that important challenge. Thanks to the support from our wonderful community we can continue with our very worthy cause.”

CIC is a 501, (c)(3) non-profit community charity of caring people providing homes and establishing hope to the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community. To learn more about CIC, visit, or call 864-4242.
