Sandestin reports increased revenues for rental owners
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will welcome hundreds of rental owners this weekend for the annual Rental Owner Appreciation Weekend on Nov. 21-22, 2014.
The event will kick off Friday evening with a welcome reception featuring live music as well as a complimentary beach chair, and golf and tennis vouchers. Saturday events will include a vendor show, dinner, an annual report presentation by resort personnel and a casino night party.
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will report another great year in 2014, with increased leisure guests during the summer and strong group business increases in the fall. These developments can be attributed to the resort’s revenue management efforts, high quality group sales and marketing initiatives utilizing an email database of more than 187,000 loyal customers. Additional revenues are expected in early 2015 due to increased activity in group business. Overall, resort revenues are expected to be up more than $500,000 from January through April of 2015 due mostly to the influx of group room revenue.
Success at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort translates to more revenues for rental owners and many have seen the difference by offering their condos, or homes via the resort’s rental program first hand.

Over the last year, Sandestin has added several new rental managers, something that was promised to rental owners at last year’s appreciation weekend.
“We have more than doubled the size of our rental management team since March of 2012,” said Amanda Ferguson, director of rental management. “With additional staff and a combined 65-plus years of ‘Sandestin’ experience, our management team is better positioned to be more hands-on in our rental units and continue to improve communications to our rental owners.”
Ferguson added, “Team Sandestin continues to work diligently with the Rental Advisory Committee to bring continuous improvements to the Sandestin Rental Program. One such improvement for 2015, is the addition of the Sandestin Golf Cart Program. Sandestin will be providing Sandestin Rental Owners with preferential golf cart parking in numerous surface lot locations around the resort to provide a permanent parking solution with charging stations in areas where space is otherwise limited. There will also be temporary parking for Sandestin Rental Owners and Rental Guests in each parking area.
