DeFuniak Springs — A cool whip container full of drugs led to the arrest of a DeFuniak  Springs man following a search warrant by Walton County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.

The investigation was started as a result of a complaint received by the Department of Children and Families stating the residents were selling and using methamphetamine while minor children were living in the home.

On Feb. 24 WCSO obtained a search warrant for the residence located at 119 Jim Cotton Drive where it was believed Tony Herndon and Biddie Stanley were living at the time.

Deputies located a Cool Whip container sitting on a small table in the living room inside the home.

Inside the container, WCSO Narcotics Investigators located methamphetamine, marijuana, and several items used to ingest drugs.

Tony Herndon, 45, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and violating State Probation stemming from previous drug charges.
