Dorcas firefighters locate missing boater on Shoal River near Crestview

The Dorcas Fire Department helped locate a missing boater on the Shoal River Friday night.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office and Fish and Wildlife officers assisted in the search after 33-year-old Jonathan Miller of Crestview who was reported overdue at the Ray Lynn Barnes Boat Ramp on James Lee Boulevard, according to OCSO.

The Dorcas Fire Department helped locate a missing boater on the Shoal River Friday night.

Dorcas firefighters used a boat to locate Miller two hours into the search. He was found near the end of Woolley Road east of Crestview, about four miles from the boat ramp.

EMS was also on scene to check him out for any possible injuries, OCSO said.
