One killed, two seriously injured in head-on crash on U.S. 90 in DeFuniak Springs
DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — A Mary Esther man was killed and two DeFuniak Springs residents were seriously injured in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 90 on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred at 10:53 a.m. on U.S. 90 near Linda Lane in DeFuniak Springs, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 37-year-old Mary Esther man was driving a sedan east on U.S. 90 when he crossed the center line of the road and collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck. The truck rolled over onto the shoulder of the road. The sedan stopped in the road.

The two occupants of the truck, a 32-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, the release said.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene from crash-related injuries.
