Jackson selected for Alpha Omicron Pi

Anna Elizabeth Jackson of Santa Rosa Beach has been selected for Samford University's chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi.

Jackson is a freshman health sciences major and a graduate of South Walton High School.

Sorority life at Samford provides women opportunity to learn how to lead, serve, reach academic goals and develop friendships. Members are involved in service projects, intramurals and student life as a whole.

The sorority and fraternity community at Samford University is made up of 15 registered sororities and fraternities organized within three governing councils. About 45 percent of the undergraduate students are members of Greek organizations.

Pediatrician opens Freeport office

Sacred Heart Pediatrician Dr. Mollie Smith-Sowell has opened an additional office in Freeport at 281 State Hwy 20 E.

Sowell has a special interest in developmental pediatrics, the care of newborns and the treatment of allergies and asthma. She is accepting new patients, newborns through age 18. Most major insurances are accepted.

In addition to her Freeport office, Sowell will continue to see patients from her main office, Sacred Heart Medical Group at The Market Shops in Miramar Beach. For more information, call 850-416-4650.
