Walton County first responders extinguish fire at Taco Bell in DeFuniak Springs

DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Firefighters extinguished a fire Monday afternoon at a fast-food restaurant in DeFuniak Springs. 

A person called 911 to report a smell of smoke coming from inside a Taco Bell on U.S. Highway 331, according to a Walton County Fire Rescue news release

Walton County firefighters extinguished a blaze Monday at Taco Bell on U.S. Highway 331 in DeFuniak Springs.

No flames were visible from the outside of the building when crews from the DeFuniak Springs Fire Department, Walton County Fire Rescue, Argyle Volunteer Fire Department and Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrived. 

A quick investigation showed one of the gas lines in the building had caught fire, WCFR reported. The fire was extinguished and everyone made it out of the building safely.
