Notable: Apopka's offense put up 42 against a Creekside team that had never allowed more than 32 points this season. The Blue Darters have scored at least 37 points in five consecutive games.

Notable: The favorites all handled their business, which sets up two solid semifinal matchups: Vero Beach at Palm Beach Central and Boone at Treasure Coast. Both Vero Beach and Treasure Coast's semifinal games last season went into overtime.

Biggest takeaway: Osceola trailed at the half, were down by seven at the end of the third quarter and still found a way to win with 14 points in final seven minutes of the game. The game-winner was scored with less than a minute remaining.

Notable: Columbus, which went through a rare three-game losing streak in September, once again looks like a serious threat in Region 4. The Explorers have won six in a row and are allowing less than a touchdown per game during that streak.

Nease took down Spruce Creek Friday in an instant classic playoff game.

Notable: Nease had one of the biggest upsets of the night in knocking off Spruce Creek after a 26-yard field goal with less than a minute remaining and then blocking a potential game-tying kick. Nease led 21-7 after three quarters but Spruce Creek scored two touchdowns in less than three minutes in the fourth quarter.

Notable: Utah commit Jaylon Glover scored two more touchdowns against Lakeland, bringing his season total to seven against Lakeland. The three teams Lake Gibson lost to during the regular season — Lake Mary, Lowndes (Georgia) and Riverside — all won Friday night.

Notable: Wharton pulls out the road win. Wharton trailed 8-7 in the fourth quarter until Arkease Parks scored the game-winning touchdown with less than four minutes remaining. Wharton's only regular season losses were against undefeated Tampa Bay Tech and Armwood.

Notable: It was an impressive comeback for Miramar, which trailed 20-6 midway through the third quarter. Desmond Reid scored the game-winner on a 36-yard run with less than three minute remaining.

Dunbar's season was stopped short as the fell to Plantation 44-20 in their first round playoff game.

Notable: Lincoln extends its win streak to six games with an impressive win at Gainesville. During the streak, the Trojans have racked up wins against Gadsden County, Rickards and Trinity Christian. Their last loss was at Mosley ... where they will travel for the regional semifinal.

Notable: Jones pulled out a tough game against district rival Mainland. Kaylan Calvez broke a tie game with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter to give Jones a 28-21 lead. The Tigers extended the lead to 35-21 with less than four minutes remaining and held on for the win.

Notable: Jordaan Bailey's 1-yard touchdown run with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner. Pinellas Park, whose lone loss was a one-point result against Northwest on Oct. 1, led for the first 20 minutes of the second half.

Notable: Maybe it shouldn't be a big surprise that Plantation won considering it gave Dillard all it could handle in a 41-40 loss on Oct. 29. Still, the Colonels never trailed against previously undefeated Dunbar, leading 22-6 at the half and pulling away with 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

Notable: Cincinnati commit Quincy Burroughs and Carleton Butler scored in the final 13 minutes to give Raines the home win. It's the second time Raines beat Parker in a close game this season. The Vikings won 13-9 on Oct. 1.

Notable: Bishop Moore stopped Dunnellon's two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter to win the game. The Hornets led 14-0 at the half and never trailed at Dunnellon. Bishop Moore went 4-6 during the regular season, with all six losses coming against playoff teams.

Notable: Gibbs threw a pair of first-half touchdowns and held on to beat Zephyrhills. Gibbs has won seven of its past eight games, with the lone loss coming against top-seeded Clearwater in a district game on Oct. 1.

Notable: This is the expected final four in the region, with the much-anticipated Miami Central-American Heritage semifinal being the headliner. These two teams both won state titles last season and the semifinal winner will be the favorite to win the championship in December. 

West Florida #3 Collin Betties hauls in a big pass in the second half while being defended by North Marion #26 Eric Davis. Notable: Gadsden County's field goal with 56 seconds remaining was the difference. The Jaguars, which played a very challenging schedule, won just two regular season games but are moving on to play Bolles in the regional semifinal.

Notable: Two lopsided results end up with a final four of Cocoa vs. South Sumter and Villages Charter vs. Keystone Heights. Villages Charter is 10-0; Keystone Heights is 10-1.

Notable: It was a good day for teams on the southern banks of Lake Okeechobee with Glades Central and Clewiston advancing to the regional semifinals. Glades Central jumped out to a 28-3 halftime lead in its win.

Notable: Pine Crest trailed 7-0 after three quarters, but scored 10 points in the final 11 minutes to win the regional quarterfinal. Dean Gordon kicked the game-winning field goal for the Panthers in the final minute.

Notable: The top two seeds won their game handily. Now, we're on to a pair of good semifinal matchups: Trinity Catholic vs. P.K. Yonge and Florida High at Walton.

Notable: Frostproof scored 21 points in the second quarter to take control against Windermere Prep. The Bulldogs will get a second chance against Lakeland Christian in the regional semifinal. Lakeland Christian beat Frostproof 41-0 on Oct. 15.

Notable: Tampa Catholic trailed 25-17 at the of the third quarter, but rallied to win on the road. The Crusaders kicked a last-minute field goal for the game-winning points. Tampa Catholic lost to Clearwater Central Catholic 38-21 on Sept. 10.

Notable: Cardinal Newman raced out a 27-0 halftime lead and cruised to a regional quarterfinal win. The Crusaders have won seven of their past eight games, with the lone loss coming against Gulliver Prep.

Notable: John Carroll Catholic fell behind early and trailed 20-13 at halftime, but the second half was a different story. The Golden Rams scored 28 unanswered points in the second half, including 21 points in the fourth quarter.

Notable: Liberty County used a big third quarter to take control of the regional quarterfinal. The Bulldogs trailed 20-7 at the half, but scored 21 points in the third quarter. Sneads scored and attempted a late two-point conversion attempt but it failed.

Notable: Mario Thomas scored two first quarter touchdowns to help Lafayette race out to a 15-0 lead in the first quarter. Thomas added a final score early in the fourth quarter to send the Hornets to the regional semifinals.

Notable: Hawthorne and Wildwood are set for another playoff showdown. It will be the third consecutive years that the teams meet in the regional playoffs. Hawthorne won the last two seasons, including a 14-8 result in 2020.
